Why Men Hate Women
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
We know why men hate women, and it either has to do with the NFL or ladies being super tiny. We have a whole gym-bro breakdown and a pantsless yoga teacher. Plus: the wildest new friend group we've made yet (Tampa people, what is wrong with you??), the most dangerous left turn known to man, and a very important reminder that anger is an emotion and we're allowed to have it.

Hey, my kink is I want to wear a tutu. I want you to call me Kayla, and I want you to watch me while I suck off a tr transgender individual. Are you okay with that? I believe that was on their first date. Welcome to this week's episode of Honestly So What's Smart West.
SPEAKER_04And I'm Tulsi Toronto, and I'm Dr. Lynz.
unknownWelcome.
SPEAKER_03Two dumb girls. Shit chatted away. Sometimes they're smart. Sometimes we're not. We're not. Always hilarious.
SPEAKER_04That wasn't in my notes.
SPEAKER_02How's it going? Honestly, I think I'm happy. Last night was perfect. Why? Okay, I came home. It was dark out. I had a fully charged laptop, thanks to you. I had sweet cream, cinnamon bears, full water bottle, and comfortable loungy pants and a sweatshirt. This is at nine. I was so teed up to have a good fucking time. I'm so comfy and like, ooh, oh wait, there's more. And I had my gardening tools right beside me. So I'm eating and taking a break for gardening. What movie did you watch?
SPEAKER_03Yes. I don't know. Good fellas. The devil wears Prada too.
SPEAKER_02Oh wow, you did have a great night. Okay, I'm smoking. I'm doing okay. And then I'm glad I'm seated like this. I'm seated cross-legged and with erect posture. I'm watching The Devil's Prada. No, I'm I'm seated on a glider. Because outside we have the option of love seat gliders or Adirondack chairs. Exactly. So I'm on the glider. It's dark out. I'm eating the barbecue chicken salad from Sweet Green. I'm rocking back and forth.
SPEAKER_01And then it's just, I was like, I'm really happy.
SPEAKER_03And I'm just like, I thought you were gonna like pull out your vibrator and be like, yeah, I'm having such a good time.
SPEAKER_02I'm eating and watching, just kind of riding back and forth. Like, check out. Yeah. Like that. And I didn't even realize I was doing it. I was just like rocking it back and forth. And then I'm like, am I rocking my clip against the ceiling? I kind of was. So no, I'm giving myself a little job down the little what would you call that? A little clip rub? A little rub down? A little rub at one point was like, I bet this is what like 12-year-old kids did. And they didn't have the same resources we do that just were on the glider.
SPEAKER_03Going to town in that glider. And I was like, it's dinner time. Get off the glider. I'm not I I can't. I can't yet.
SPEAKER_02She's reading the babysitter's club book. I was like, no, mom, gosh, you're such a good reader. You've been reading all summer. Oh my gosh. It was uh amazing. The fact that no one interrupted me with the what's going on out here? I was snoozing, so you didn't have to worry about me. Literally, no one's gonna come and disrupt this piece. It was perfection. And I think I ended up buying the double wears product. Oh I think I accidentally bought it twice. Oh. So it cost me like $40. And then it was like, oh man, oh fucking. You'll watch it again. Oh shit. I think I own it twice. If I could gift it to you, I would. I'll watch it on your laptop. Oh my gosh. Oh, that show makes me happy. And then I was thinking about it. In the last 12 hours, I've watched two movies about New York City. What's the other one? It was about 9-11. Oh. Oh, The New Yorker. The 100-year anniversary on Netflix. Uh, I've actually watched it before. You go through the year as they lead up to this 100-year anniversary issue. Is it like a sleepy time movie, or would I stay awake? This documentary watches like Vogue, get ready, their September issue. Yeah. It's like that. Oh, fun. Okay. Yeah. Oh, I like that. Yeah, it was really good. Okay. Yeah, that one's free on Netflix. So we have so much to talk about. Okay, go. Let's get this out of the way. I really struggle with a well, I struggled with a lot of things, but one thing I struggle with is understanding POVs. And I mean that specifically, like all those dirty old men and how they feel towards you, like high school girls. I just I understand why they feel that way. I see. I haven't been exposed to this many blonde-haired blue-eyed girls ever. And the way in which I see other people interact with them, they are mesmerizing like a light comes down on them. They're all versions of each other. Yeah, I swear to god, I don't know one of their names. That's okay. They all look alike. Oh my gosh, and one saw me in yoga the other day, and she was like, Chelsea! Oh my gosh! It was amazing. Anyway, so I went to yoga today. Uh if you can't tell, it's magical. But let me tell you. So this young girl, she's gotta be 22. And she's like, Chelsea, right? And I was like, this girl gets me, let's fucking go. So we're going to we're going, I'm in a sculpt class. And I thought, she looks so cute in her little like a pickleball dress. Oh cute. Yeah. And my initial thought was I love the fact that she is coming in representing a different aesthetic. I thought it was cute. And you know, every tennis dress we have has those like booty shorts attached. Yes. Not hers. What? Not hers. No, let me show you. No. No. I am about to show you, you guys, on YouTube.
SPEAKER_00And if you're not, you're gonna bother me a little.
SPEAKER_02Um, I am about to show you firsthand what it looked like because I was directly behind her. Okay. And I was like, this is legitimately off a porn hub. Okay, let's see it.
SPEAKER_03I was like turn around and show every show the class. It was like it was like Okay, so she is bending over. She's basically like, okay, so she's wearing a thong, so your ass is hanging out.
SPEAKER_02She's so innocent.
SPEAKER_03She's she's 22. She did not realize what was happening.
SPEAKER_02No! I'm sorry you guys, I don't mean to yell. No, she did not. And they were like these white little bassy panties that a 22-year-old would wear. And I'm like, and I even put, just so you know, in order to do this bit, I had I put my new expensive face oil on my ass. Because my ass won't do this poor girl's ass justice. But like, she's literally like I'm like looking around, like, this is pornographic. Like, is anyone else looking in? I don't, I was, I couldn't stop looking. Oh, gosh. Let me just tell you, I have to apologize. I destroyed one of your razors in order to be able to do this. So I took it and I used it, and I probably threw it away. Yeah, just throw it away. Oh my gosh. Well, no, I'll use it. How the fuck are you shaving your legs?
SPEAKER_03How like physically, how am I doing it? In this bathroom. In this bathroom. Um, I stand on one leg and then I and then I kick this one into the corner. So I'm very supported in the corner. Because, or like sometimes I just kind of like flamingo it or do like a tree pose, and I'm just like, and here we go. Because there's no shelf to put your leg on, or there's no little ledge to put your leg on. So you better hope that that shower's not slick and you're not gonna topple over because it is a little dangerous in there. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I love that shower setup. I do love it. Oh my gosh, it's the best shower I've ever uh been in. But yes, to your point, uh, there's not one shelf. So just look past that, but it is challenging. So what I've done up until tonight, I will bend over. Oh, okay. You know, a forward fold and just try it that way. Yeah. Or I stood straight and then put my leg out. Yes, like that. And I was like, this can't be good. This is not so tonight, given that I needed to do all the things. Sorry, hang on a second. Given that I needed to do all the things, I was like, I actually stood like teenager style and uh shaved my legs out here. Oh wow. On the counter. Well, because I needed to get in between get uh get everywhere. I am serious. That yoga instructor's ass was like the only thing you saw was the undercarriage, the camel cover. Oh my gosh. Sweet little girl. Yeah. She miscalculated the coverage, she outkicked that coverage like a mother boy.
SPEAKER_03So anyway. What I realized today when I was at the gym, usually I wear biker shorts to go work out, but I had on like a running short outfit instead. Okay, and then they have a liner inside of those. I was at the mirror doing the Smith machine. You know, I love a peg leg, so of course I had to do my peg leg workout. But then the hip thrust machine was taken, so I'm like, okay, I'll do hip thrust over here. So as I'm looking in the mirror, I can see all the way to my undercarriage and like barely covered. I was like, fuck, anyone looking in the mirror right now is seeing literally everything, almost my vagina, but not quite. Yes. Uh-huh. Yeah. I wonder if it was at the exact same time.
SPEAKER_02But I was looking at her vagina and other people were looking at yours. Probably. You know, split screen. You just put a line around underneath.
SPEAKER_03Well, it's just like the angle that you see at and then I was thinking I was doing a leg press machine earlier, and everyone walks past you and they can see you doing that. I was like, Yep, everyone saw my shorts. That is confirmed. Yep. That's a real tough one. You know, that word's gonna get out too. And they're like, oh, see her. Do you see her looking at?
SPEAKER_02I know, but the fit was so cute. This weekend We made new friends. We made new friends. Lindsay uh invited me to a happy hour with girlfriends, her friends that now are my friends. Yes. Um, there's so many things to say about these people, but I think the part that's most interesting is that these ladies were telling us stories like motherfucking strippers. Shenanigans.
SPEAKER_03Stripper shenanigans. So many shenanigans. I don't know what is in the water in Tampa, but you guys are crazy. Yeah. If you ever hear us talking about going to Tampa, send a welfare check because we are mentally unwell. We are voluntarily from Tampa. These gals, they're all professional bodybuilders. And in the bodybuilder community, there's a lot of drugs, a lot of sex, a lot of needles being passed around.
SPEAKER_02It literally sounds like trippers, nightclubs.
SPEAKER_03So these girls are talking. And the stories about people that dated is wild. Having sex in a group or being a thruple, that's not the craziest shit I've ever heard. Not anymore, it isn't. No, it's not. I guess a lot more people do that than I thought.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03You were super duper close. The thing that was disturbing are the men that they date and the men that reside in Tampa. Because they are psychotic, narcissistic, and controlling and they hate women? They hate women. Is it misogyny? Yes. I don't know. I think that's where the manosphere lives.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. That sounds perfect. Okay, so you guys are like, what are they? Um there is a lot of violence. Yes. There's a lot of mind control. There is a lot of doing things against their will. So it is okay, let's give some firm examples here. Okay. Um having sex against your will. Yeah. Technically being raped.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Whoops. Whoops it, Daisy.
SPEAKER_02And I'm like, how can you prove it? All right, just say that's the ground level.
SPEAKER_03How about you are forced into a thruple that you didn't actually ask for.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And it can only be with this one person. You're being followed.
SPEAKER_02You are being questioned, you're being forced to wear things and perform. And there's a lot of physical violence.
SPEAKER_03Let's say you try to break up with your psychotic boyfriend. He will track you down and send you a package and try to gaslight you until you told me where you were living now.
SPEAKER_00Oh. Forgot about that one.
SPEAKER_02Then these girls proceed to tell us additional stories. And uh they were saying, Oh, our best friend was with the world's hottest guy. 6'5. He was amazing. He was hot. He was the hottest guy I've ever seen. I mean, he was like Instagram model hot.
SPEAKER_03Oh, there was a really hot guy at the gym today. Also, probably 6'5. Lean? Dark hair.
SPEAKER_02What's his name?
SPEAKER_03I don't know. Didn't talk to him.
SPEAKER_02Um, so he takes her back to the house, says to their friend, hey, my kink is I want to wear a tutu. I want you to call me Kayla, and I want you to watch me while I suck off a transgender individual. Are you okay with that? I believe that was on their first date.
unknownWhat the fuck?
SPEAKER_03It's like, what? She thought that she was just bringing home this perfectly nice gentleman, and he's very successful, he's good looking. Their conversations up to now are totally normal, just like laughing, and then you circle back to that. Like, holy shit. I'd be like, are you for real? I would be like, fuck it.
SPEAKER_02100%. And I want to watch you get after the girls at happy hour turn to me. They're flabbergasted, blown out of the water, their breath is taken away the fact that there's trans. I would never, oh my god, I'd be so turned off. Yeah, and I said, it kind of makes sense. Like, I get it. I get it. You get two for one. It's like a combo meal with that individual. Well, for him? Yeah. Yeah. It's essentially a what's it called? What's the half man, the half horse? Oh, a centaur. Practically a centaur.
SPEAKER_03I don't think she was looking for him to hook up with a centaur. If you think about it like that. So, like, if you were hooking up with this guy and that is what happened, would you be turned on? Yeah. Especially with the tutu. Are you fitting me?
SPEAKER_02This guy, I wish they would give him my number because he sounds literally perfect. He's so hot. Yeah, no, call me.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, no, perfect. The tutu is what really got you.
SPEAKER_02I laughed so hard the entire restaurant stopped. You know, in my wildest dreams, would I ever think I'd meet a man who loves tutus as much as I do?
SPEAKER_03I know. If it was just that, call me Kayla, I'd be like, all right, cool. 6'5, you can have any. They can have whatever you want.
SPEAKER_02You know what? I did see someone very hot. Ugh. They're so hot. And they fill out a t-shirt. Oh. So hard. Oh my god, it makes me come undone. Fills out a t-shirt over six foot. You can have anything. Oh man, oh man.
SPEAKER_03You can be violent with me. It's fine. I deserved it. I deserve to be tossed around like a little ragtail. I deserve to be choked out.
SPEAKER_02Here's the thing: everybody loves beating up on ladies. What's that all about? I gotta tell you, we're so much smaller than you guys. The fact that you're like, oh, I love to clobber her.
SPEAKER_03I'm like, we're so tiny. You know, I think it is. Men love athletes, and NFL players are always beating the shit out of their wives and girlfriends. They're like, I'm just like an NFL player. I can do it too. I think it's kind of like oh, they're aspiring. They're aspiring to be like a pro athlete. I can't play the professional sport, but you know, I can't do that theory.
SPEAKER_04Why? There isn't FNF. Stop it. Stop it right now. Stop it right now. Because they have to be professional athletes. They're like, I can be my girlfriend. I'm an elevator, so I can be my girlfriend. There's a CCTV. I'm like, there's a CCTV in my house. I can do whatever I want. Right below the bed. Everybody knows that would do. Yeah, let me let me hear your theory. I believe because we can't kick the dogs anymore, they kicked the ladies.
SPEAKER_01Because they in the old days, like in the 80s, you could like kick the dog. What? Who?
SPEAKER_03Who is kicking dogs?
SPEAKER_02No, it's okay. They feed ladies like Yeah, you could kick the dog. No, it's okay. It was 40 years ago. They're feeding on us. Don't worry. Good.
SPEAKER_03I don't want the dog to get beat up. I'll take it. It's fine. I have abs of steel. Just kick me in the stomach. If you're gonna choke me out, make sure you don't leave a mark.
SPEAKER_04I don't.
SPEAKER_02It's really it's just not good. I wish I knew what's so exciting about it.
SPEAKER_03They must feel so strong. Or so tiny. They're so tiny. You can just kind of lift them up with one arm and toss them somewhere. Literally. Uh-huh. Like lighter than your dog. You guys love swinging away. They're at the gym. I bench pressed 250 today. Let me see if I can toss you around. Let me see if I can slam you into the wall. They're doing functional fitness at the gym. He wants to see if he can actually perform when it matters. Scoop you up and throw you. Hopefully you land on something soft or floor. I don't know. I don't know what the anger is and why it's such a thing. It's like a sexual sandwich. Hand in hand. It's incredible. They like to choke ladies out because they're like, shut the fuck up. Or they grab your hair back of the head and shove it down on their they're probably doing that because I have a small dick and they're just like, you gotta really get in there.
SPEAKER_02Um I saw this meme. You can do anything to me. I'm into everything. And I'm like, okay, like bend you over and pull your hair. Well, no, because I have extensions and they don't cost me two grand, but anything other than that, you can totally do to me. And I was like, Yeah, that's exactly right.
SPEAKER_03That's exactly right. There's a Christian influencer in Oklahoma, and he opened up a male-only gym. It's called Proverbs 2417, Fitness. And it's because he was at a regular gym and he was so tempted by women that he cheated on his wife with the ladies at the gym. So now he's making a safe space for men to work out.
SPEAKER_02That's how he got her not to leave him. I will create a safe space void of women.
SPEAKER_03You love your guy friends so much, just want to bro out, suck each other's that's a lot.
SPEAKER_02What does the proverb mean? Oh yeah. Do I look like I read the Bible? We don't today with our mouths. You know, I was thinking about it. It's okay if people hate us. I mean, it makes sense if they hate us. Our husbands hate us. You know who else wants to kill women?
SPEAKER_03Who? That girl. So Chelsea is talking about this lady she follows, Shan Riley.
SPEAKER_02And she is newly single. Okay. And she's frequently giving top 26 reasons why I like being single. Number one, I'm not stepping on someone else's toenails. Number two, the toilet seat is down and dry. Number three, no one is clearing their voice at all hours of the night. Number four. Okay, you get the gist. Yes. Okay. Well, she does this, right? And then, you know, she's got a microphone. She's a yapper.
SPEAKER_03However, how she chooses to position her tiny microphone is on a chef's knife. Yeah. A knife that you use in the kitchen for real, pointy end up towards her face, microphone on the edge of the chef's knife.
SPEAKER_02Like if you were Freddie Krueger, you know, that like upward motion with the knife. It's a real knife, and so she's got the mic attached to it. So she like talks into the mic, which is attached to the knife. Here's the thing: it looks real criminal towards women.
SPEAKER_03She looks like she wants to butcher women. She looks like she is mentally unwell because she's holding a knife up to her face every day. It's in her bio.
SPEAKER_00What's in her bio?
SPEAKER_02Like it's literally in her description, like with the knife. Girl, it is my mission to get her to attach her mic to something other than a knife.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I see. Shane with the knife. Single girl survival guide.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it doesn't have to be such a violent I see.
SPEAKER_03I see.
SPEAKER_02To be like, no, it's not. But maybe women who are recently single have been in a delicate situation, and knives can potentially be triggering. That's a real possibility. And unlike us, if your demographic is women, perhaps you are um tone deaf. You're being tone deaf. So you have a responsibility, and I know you're like, no, in all sincerity, you have a vast female audience. I bet there's all walks of life that are resonating with what you're saying, but you have to take it a step further and just hear me out. This is my argument why you need to put down the fucking knife. You got all these women looking at you, and the whole time you're sending this physical message, it's like I want to write through the sternum is all I can see. I can't see past it. I can't see past it. However, I love her shit. So please get like a spatula or some shit. I don't care what. Like a billy club would be better. A dildo would be better. Anything would be better than a knife. I know. What's another survival piece of equipment? Anything. I don't know. Those waterproof matches. Anything. Literally. Or let go of the survival. Not surviving. In fact, you don't actually give survival tips. One might say if doing an audit of your actual bio, I would say your message and the way in which you represent are not cohesive. All you really do, which I love, is lists 26, body blah, 27. And you're like, yeah, yeah, she's very observant, and she nails it. And that's all I want to hear is confirming the things that drove me crazy. And she's so right about and she just keeps going. And you're like, yeah, you're right. So I want to be a part of it because it's very validating to the things in which we just recently experienced. But I don't want to be killed.
SPEAKER_03Me either. So I just want to live. I don't want to be surviving. I gotta be thriving.
SPEAKER_02What are you offering that is this girl's guide to surviving breakups?
SPEAKER_03I saw she was making a Google calendar about how to decenter men from your life. If you look at that is a lot of admin to decenter a man from your life. I don't know. Maybe you could just not think about it. She's not very hot. She is like a Crossbit girly.
SPEAKER_00I see.
SPEAKER_02Kokio Paxi. I think she could use hair extensions. It's a makeup. And uh push-up bra. Yep. And she could take off that one-sided, what's this called? You know, a shirt that only goes up like this, like a one shoulder. Yeah. I think just a little bit more makeup. And extensions. Yes. And a push-up bra. Or at least nipple covers. I don't know what you got going on on those erasers. You can't stop staring at them. And uh kudos for you for playing into it.
SPEAKER_03I think she doesn't give a fuck because she's going after ladies. I know, but yeah, just a little. Yeah, I'm just thinking that that's the reason behind her marketing. And branding. Just take just take the knife out of it. Yeah. Anything but the knife. I'm afraid she's gonna slip and hurt herself.
SPEAKER_02Like, ooh. It's a very violent thing to keep watching, especially if you're really into her content. I have been leaving messages every time. Oh. I'm like, please consider taking the knife away. So everybody wants to hurt somebody, huh? Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03Just gonna go all Perez Hilton with the knife. What do you think? He had a psychotic breakdown. What do you think? He just wanted people to talk about him? But now he is silent.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03No one's heard from him. What are you gonna do? Make a statement? No, I think he's in the hospital. It was 30 minutes of a live stream of him naked, covered in blood, and waving a knife around.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Knives.
SPEAKER_03And I guess the most traumatic thing that anyone has ever seen. I didn't watch it because everyone was like, don't watch it. We're so disturbing. Where did the blood come from? I think himself. I think he was cutting himself. Jesus.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Exactly.
SPEAKER_02I don't doubt the fact that he kind of snapped.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_02I I hope he gets better. There you go.
SPEAKER_03I mean, that's really all I have to say. I was on Perez Hilton's website every single day after school in middle school. Yeah. Because I had to see what Britney Spears was doing, Paris Hilton, Jesse Timberlake. Yeah. I was addicted. And of course it was very snarky. Yeah. And those photos. Oh, when the girls were leaving the club and they didn't have their underwear on. Yeah. Yeah. I was like, why are there so many photos of that? Um, but I do think over the past few years he hasn't been as snarky, and he has come to realize that being a dick is not. Yeah. I just hope he's okay. Sorry, buddy. That sounds awful. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Uh TikTok, where where were you on that one? I know.
SPEAKER_03I do spell stream for 30 minutes.
SPEAKER_02That's a really long time. They're like, let's just see what happens. He'll take down a photo of my feet. Yeah. The fact that you're a doctor.
SPEAKER_03Literally. My account is blocked because someone reported me not being a real doctor. Are you kidding me?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but oh, it's okay for him to butcher himself. Yeah. Shay came over and was like stabbing him. Girl, put the knife away. Did you see that guy living on the billboard? Yeah. I watched the movie. What's the movie? Oh, The Last House. The Last House. It was a Netflix publicity stunt. Oh. How's the movie? Um, I'm only about 20 minutes in, and so far they're locked in their house.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_02Everybody is. They can't get out. It's like an impenetrable bubble, encapsulated each house, and no one can get out. Oh. I mean, it's and I'm like, well, back in COVID, we begged to have ourselves locked in.
SPEAKER_03Well, circle back when you finish the rest of the movie. I don't know if I will. All right, fine. Yeah, I'll throw it on. I tried to start watching The Shards last night. It's a new Ryan Murphy show on FX. I think there's probably 10 episodes. And it's based on a book which is very loosely based on rich kids in the 80s and Beverly Hills. Oh. Is The Shard based on Donna Tart's book? Brett Easton Ellis.
SPEAKER_02Set in Los Angeles in 1980. Bear Kid Psycho and Less than Zero. Holy shit. Those were very influential movies in my life.
SPEAKER_03How was it? Well, I fell asleep. I didn't make it through the first episode because I was I was tired.
SPEAKER_02You know, I don't give that any stock that the show is bad.
SPEAKER_03Oh no. I think from what I saw, I liked it. And I like Ryan Murphy shows. Kaya Gerber is in it. She is so stunning. She's really pretty. Her mom is so pretty. Yeah. Good jeans there. It really worked out.
SPEAKER_02You really hit the lottery with that one. She is, and she's an actress more than her mother. That's great. Because now we get to see a lot of her. She's really growing into her mom.
SPEAKER_03Yes, she is. There was a scene where she was walking and then she turns around slow motion to look at the camera. I was like, you are your mom. Yeah. It's wild. Wild.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I bet it's hard for her, but you should be happy that you're carrying on your legacy. And as a result, you know, you're probably feeling aged out, and that's a accurate feeling. However, you're staying so relevant with your daughter. So I hope that gives you a little bit of comfort. I hope so. Yeah, because you're you were everything. I think um my roommate's uh claim to fame is that he sat next to her at a thing once.
SPEAKER_03Let me tell you my claim to fame. You know Trista Sutter from the Bachelorette? Sure do. She's in my pickleball league.
SPEAKER_02Oh full circle. I know. I used to hang out with her socially when I hung out with Renee. Okay. Because they were celebrities at that time. Renee was dating the most eligible bachelor from the Aves. And it was a very high vibey time and they were a big group. And so it was a really big deal when Kristen and Ryan came down and hung out with them because they're like, oh, you know, Denver claimed celebrities. Yes. It was so cool. Fun. Yeah. How is she doing? I good.
SPEAKER_03She looks good. Yeah. Yeah. Are you gonna make her your friend? We don't really get to interact because we're now on the same team. So I probably will only see less than you. I'll have to see her play. Go network while I'm there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. From what I saw, he looks like he's at least 6'4. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02He looked really sharp in that suit. Yes. But when he came in the first time, he looked ridiculous. Okay. He's got one of those, what are they called? Bucket hats? Yeah, like the NFL wears. Oh. One of those sun bucket hats with the drawstring, and you're like, oh gosh. And then like some type of athletic shirt and like mismatchy shorts, and kind of had a little bit of a limp and maybe like a hand thing. And I was like, he's really cute.
SPEAKER_03I can look past your limp and your stupid hat on your head.
SPEAKER_02I was like, he's kind of cute. Kenzie's like, yeah, he brought me chocolate once and asked me out. And I was like, huh? That sounds like a challenge. So um I was super friendly. He got upcharged on a couple of things that I felt bad about. Um, but we were clearly vibing, and he, I think he was with his dad, and his dad was kind of picking up on the fact that he and I were flirting. He likes gluten-free soy sauce with his extra tofu, extra sesame sauce. Sexy. He was like, I didn't know I had to pay. I was like, look, you gotta understand, guy. I am so sorry. It killed me to put it on there, but I got new management, and they're so far up my ass, I had to charge you my apologies. I know I felt bad last time, but you can tell me now on the front end, and I can make that happen for free. So he comes in again this week. He's my first table, and we're both like, oh hey, uh, I'm like, hi. And he's like, I just drove here. That is awesome. He's like, you don't understand. I haven't driven in a while. And I was like, that is great. If you don't mind me asking, I don't know anything about you. And he's like, I was hit by a drunk driver eight years ago while I was walking. I don't know. I was like, wow, God chose you, didn't he? He brought you back. Yeah, he did off to do. So he's like, Yeah, I drove here. I was like, oh, I get him. What a big deal. Wow. And he's like, and this is Natalie, she's my driving instructor. She's only my driving instructor. He's like, this is my and I was like, okay. And he's like, what's your name again? And I'm like, Chelsea. And he's like, Oliver. Now you have to understand this young man is younger. I mean, he's not, he's old enough. What's my number? 31. He's not old enough. Not by those standards.
SPEAKER_03He's that he graduated high school eight years ago.
SPEAKER_02Literally. So whatever he could use friends. I'm sure he's got plenty. He's a stud.
SPEAKER_03He's such a stud. Yeah, I'm sure he has lots of friends. But I'm sure he's the most popular guy in his friend group.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03He's so dope.
SPEAKER_02And he's got and so I was like, huh, he's not retarded.
SPEAKER_00He's just a picture truck driver. He's very can't help it.
SPEAKER_02I was like, oh, okay. And then Natalie's laughing at us because the two of us are hitting on each other so hard. And I was like, I want to wait for him to bring me chocolate. No one treats like they treat Kenzie.
SPEAKER_03She has a filtered face. She's so pretty.
SPEAKER_02She has the Instagram filter that you hope to see. She's what Kylie Jenner wanted to be. Mm-hmm. So he brought her chocolate. Instead, I friend requested him. I don't care. I need a friend. Uh-huh. Yeah, you need a friend.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Maybe he'll bring you chocolate.
SPEAKER_02Maybe let me sit on his lap. Yes. Even better. Fuck chocolate. I do love chocolate, but I'll buy my own, son. I want you to do a similar gesture. I like gestures. I grew up with a lot of gestures. Guys doing a lot of things, like bringing me flowers, bringing me something.
SPEAKER_03I thought you weren't popular and you didn't have boyfriends.
SPEAKER_02There were guys always bringing me things. I felt like Matt Griebel was oh not Matt Rebel, M Matt Whitman was always bringing me things and leaving things on my doorstep.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's adorable.
SPEAKER_02And my eighth-grade boyfriend bringing me things, like dropping things off.
SPEAKER_03Candy or notes, flowers. Yeah, kind of.
SPEAKER_02Trinkets. Yeah, little things.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's so cute.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I feel like Ted did too, maybe.
SPEAKER_02I am very nostalgic of my Orchard Park life.
SPEAKER_03Is it because we're living in an area where everything is called Orchard? There's that. Like Orchard Hill, Orchard Mountain, Orchard Ridge. Orchard Park.
SPEAKER_02That's where I grew up. And I mean like second until I left. That was my town. So then you drive up a hill. We drove up a hill. It's 100% silent. There's not one bug. If you wake up like a princess every morning, super woodsy, a cul-de-sac. Um these trees have to be hundreds of years old. Like two at the least. So then I was kind of missing all of my high school college boyfriends. Oh. Um, because I was talking to Khan. I don't even think you know his name. No, I don't even know who that is. That is my Turkish boyfriend.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02And we were like DMing each other. And um, well, a couple weeks back, he was like, Are you okay? Because you look like you're they're like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. And then, but two nights ago it was like, God, I hope we see each other one more time. Oh. All right, we're taking the show on the road. Just once. He was like, I was talking to a professional soccer player, and he was playing in Istanbul, but returning to Denver. And he's like, I have a very special friend in Denver. Oh. And I was like, Why did you tell this stranger? He's like, I don't know, because anytime I hear Denver, I'll I I think of it, you.
SPEAKER_01And I was like, I feel that way about Istanbul. Oh, that's so sweet.
SPEAKER_02I hope you see each other. Obviously, he's married with the kid. And um, so that's that's always a little dicey, and you're like, ugh, I don't want to, but just you know, kind of like that notebook. You just I'm not saying we're gonna like I'll show you a picture of him, and then uh, and then Ted, my Jewish boyfriend, I I don't know. I was just thinking about this summer feels like that summer, the summer I left, and it was just like so fun, and he was really into me. I was really into him, and we just did we get a lot of Chinese food. I gave him a lot of blowjobs. I mean, it was just it's a mere image of what's happening right now.
SPEAKER_04Kind of summer of my life time soon.
SPEAKER_03This does feel like a college summer. Oh, it's back to school time soon. That's what it feels like.
SPEAKER_02I know, I know, I know, I know.
SPEAKER_03I'm kind of dreading it for the convenience of my life. I know. I'm just not thinking about it. That's out of my control. So Hey, you know what I was thinking?
SPEAKER_02Wherever we live, which it's only been two places, but we always have a fucked up left turn. Yeah, we do. Wherever we live, we have a fucked up left turn.
SPEAKER_03I know. Well, this is about turning left. We need to live somewhere where you turn right.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so where we used to live, there was a lot of fatalities at this particular intersection. The one going directly into my apartment complex was Russian roulette. Because you'd have people barreling down a boulevard. They're coming at what should be 40, that you know we're doing like 55. They are gunning it because it's like a junior light. It's not a real light in their mind. It's a minor inconvenience of a light, you know? They're running yellows, they're running reds. Then us impatient who want to turn left, we are cutting it so close. I don't know how many I've seen cars clip each other. At least a dozen. Yeah, at least. At least in the 10, 11 years that I live there. So we have that, and we have it again here in our new house. I'm like, ugh. It's almost like I'm anticipating it, and the stress of it is tweaking out.
SPEAKER_03Why do I sound wait? I know because people are really clipping it when you have to turn left. And I am sitting for an extra car longer because I can't gauge how fast they're coming. Yeah, it's really hard to gauge how fast they're coming. No, I really is, isn't it? It is. I thought it was me. No, no, it's hard to gauge, and then also about this neighborhood. Yeah, these neighbors, they've been great. I love every person that we've met. Yeah, we don't have sidewalks in our neighborhood. No, we don't. Everyone walks in the middle of the fucking road. Well, I thought we liked doing that. Yeah, until I'm trying to drive my car to get past you and no one moves. No one. They stay in the middle of the road. Like my car got scratched by a tree because I had to get off into like the ditch to go around these ladies, three deep, three dogs. And I was like, That's entitlement. So entitled. That is like, fuck you. Uh-huh. We own the street. 100%. And I was like, I do love walking in the middle of the road. Like, and I do, but I I will like move smidge off to the side when you come through.
SPEAKER_02Nah, I love it for them. I'm sorry, it's very inconvenient for us. But you know, we love walking in the middle of the road and we love imposing on others, making their lives just a little miserable for a second, like you do to us all day long.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I would have to pick and choose who I want to really inconvenience. If those ladies are in their car, yeah, I'm gonna walk in the middle of the road. Right, right.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Uh-huh. But when it comes to us, no.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Of course not. Nah, I don't want to be inconvenienced.
SPEAKER_02I just want to turn left.
SPEAKER_03Yesterday I was talking to my friend and I was telling them about what's happening in my life, and they're like, you sound like you might have a little bit of anger. I was like, angry is ugly. I'm like, I'm not an angry person. And they're like, yeah, but like you might like want to like think about that. You might be a little bit angry. And I was like, valid. That's an emotion to have pick from it though. I know. And they're like, you can just work through and be done with it. We already were angry. Yeah. Can't we be past that? I know. Oh, well, you know how I have a really hard time being by myself and doing nothing. Yeah. But a nice 30-minute walk, that's 30 minutes to work through anger. And I'm like, and done. Wrap that up in a little bow.
SPEAKER_02You have very good emotional regulation.
SPEAKER_03Ideal.
SPEAKER_02Oh, we're gonna play a game. Yeah. Three things I hope rub off on me that you do. Okay. One, I want to learn how not to give a fuck. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. You just don't give a fuck.
SPEAKER_00I don't know.
SPEAKER_02You really don't. I really don't give a fuck. But to the point where you're like, you really don't give a fuck. And I was like, you're not gonna do anything.
SPEAKER_03I'm like, what do you think? You're not gonna do something about it. Like, that's like a later problem.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. Like, deal with that later.
SPEAKER_05I was like, what?
SPEAKER_02So there was that. Um uh your eating habits.
SPEAKER_03Oh yes. I was almost going to eat while I was waiting for you to get ready, but after this, I'm like, I think I kind of want to eat ice cream.
SPEAKER_00Oh good.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_04Oh good.
SPEAKER_02Oh good. Yay! Oh good. Can you believe I was eating a salad loving it? It's the best night of my life. Not because it was like, oh my god, this is the best night of my life. Nobody's interrupting my peace.
SPEAKER_03And I'm so overcooking. If I never have to cook another day in my life, I'm like, fuck yeah. I'm burned out on cooking.
SPEAKER_02Oh shit.
SPEAKER_03I'll make a pancake. She's angry about cooking. I'm angry about cooking.
SPEAKER_02There we go. You are forced to do it. Yes. This is what you get mad about. You don't have an umbrella of anger, but rather situational. And I think things that trigger you are like being told what to do, doing something against your will. Being forced to have sex, like that girl was having. I was mad for her. I'm like, what? She was being forced to have sex every day five days a week. If you didn't want to, and it was like, I didn't have a choice.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's fucked up. That is fucked up. Situational things, things with your trip. Right. That made you really angry. Oh, I was real angry. There was something else recently that you were pretty angry about. So I think it's fair to say you do get angry. Yes, I do. But you are an superior human. And I don't think you waste energy.
SPEAKER_03I don't waste energy being angry. I don't like to waste my energy being sad. That's why I like the therapy every week. So I can do it in an hour and then be done. And I'm like, okay, like move on, process through one thing, and then I can like think about it for the week. But I also with my work schedule, working 12 hours a day, two times a week, I don't have time to think about emotions, at least for two days a week. And then yeah, sometimes then I'll come home and then I'm finally by myself, and then I can sit here and decompress, and then that's when it all hits me. And what's wrong with that?
SPEAKER_02I think it's great. I think you're doing a great job. Yeah. And um, you get busy with work, you get busier with the podcast and content creation. We don't have time to think about feelings. No, we don't. We're really on a ticking time clock here. We don't give we really need to take advantage of. And the fact that, oh my god, two single girls doing this, and you've got people listening right now. If we could it one thing my roommate did say that was brilliant was you don't have to be sad. You don't have to choose to be sad. Exactly. So if you want to be sad, let's just circle back after like 15, 18 months after we've hit it really big. Because I just feel like just like I can't with my energy.
SPEAKER_03So it's just getting recalibrated. I think I'm pretty close to just being yeah.
SPEAKER_02Because look, our peace, no one's rocking our peace. It's literally perfect right here. Yes. So let's continue to take advantage of that. And you can be stepped if we live in a shittier place.
SPEAKER_03I'm telling my friend, I feel every emotion, but I tend to feel more relief, light, and happy.
SPEAKER_02We were angry before, we were sad before. So that Tampa story, we we shortchanged you because the girls we were at Happy Hour with, they were in the thruple together. Yes. They were each other's partners. Ah, there's so many questions I would have asked. Please tell me more about the jealousy, the intimacy.
SPEAKER_03What I gathered the girlfriend didn't have any issues with the third girl brought in.
SPEAKER_01No, yeah, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_02But like, do you sneak around with one? And then are you making phone calls? Are you guys hooking up? I would just get very uh paranoid. Oh.
SPEAKER_03It sounded like it was only really a thruple when they all wanted to hook up. Okay, yeah. It did sound like next Thursday at night. Exactly. And they're like, yeah, that's our go-to girl. Yeah. So it sounded pretty okay. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I don't know.
SPEAKER_03I mean, the whole thing's fucked up.
SPEAKER_02Tampa's fucked up. It sounded like stripper shenanigans. And no disrespect to strippers, but you know, you have I have heard some stories. And it sounds sexier to say strippers, so you know, whatever. Uh what else you got? I think that's all I got. We did a substantial amount.
SPEAKER_03Yes, we did. Wow. Time flies. Time flies when you're having fun and you're not being choked out. Indeed. I just never or like being stabbed. Yeah. Ooh, and now we can go get ice cream. I know. Yay. All right. Make sure you like, subscribe, follow at Honestly Smartless, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, wherever you're podcast. And we'll see you next time. Bye.
